In the descriptions of our sports programmes you will find a scale for the categories endurance, flexibility, coordination, strength and physical contact. This sports scale is intended to serve as a small guide to help you choose a sports programme. However, we would like to point out that, depending on the focus of the course instructors, there may be deviations in the levels of the individual categories. The composition and interests of the group of participants as well as your own individual requirements can also have an impact in this regard, meaning that the sports scale can only provide a rough classification.
Explanation of the scale values
The categories of endurance, flexibility, coordination and strength are scaled according to the extent to which the respective category characterises the sport or sports programme and is the declared training goal of the programme.
0 = The category plays a subordinate role in the sports programme and is trained little or not at all.
1 = The category characterises the sport to a small extent, but is not a training objective of the sports programme.
2 = The category is an important component of the sport, but is not seen as a training goal of the sport programme.
3 = The category is an important component of the sport and a declared training objective of the sports programme.
The physical contact category is scaled according to the extent to which physical contact between participants and/or between participants and instructors is part of the sport or the programme.
0 = Physical contact can be completely avoided in the sports programme. Assistance and/or corrections involving physical contact are optional and therefore not mandatory.
1 = Physical contact may occur during games, for example, but this is not an essential part of the sport. Assistance and/or corrections involving physical contact are optional and therefore not mandatory.
2 = Physical contact is part of the sport at least in certain phases. Assistance and/or corrections involving physical contact may be mandatory.
3 = Close physical contact is unavoidable in the sports programme. In some cases, changing partners can also be expected. Assistance and/or corrections involving physical contact may be necessary.
